Coronavirus - A Book For Children by Nosy Crow
In this uncertain time it is important that we all help each other where we can as it can be an unsettling time. This is especially true for children. How do you explain a pandemic to them, how do we help them understand what the coronavirus is? Luckily for parents, Nosy Crow has come to the rescue with an informative digital book.
Released at the start of April the book aims to help parents and guardians explain this difficult topic in a way children can understand. Aimed at children aged 5-9 the book aims to cover questions such as: • What is the coronavirus? • How do you catch the coronavirus? • What happens if you catch the coronavirus? • Why are people worried about catching the coronavirus? • Is there a cure for the coronavirus? • Why are some places we normally go to closed? • What can I do to help? • What’s going to happen next?
On their website Nosy Crow states: We want to make sure that this book is accessible to every child and family and so the book is offered totally free of charge to anyone who wants to read it. However, we have suggested, at the back of the book, that families might make a donation to help our health service if they find the book useful: https://www.nhscharitiestogether.co.uk/.
We therefor encourage everyone to download the book and make a donation to NHS Charities Together. In this difficult time we strongly belief that education should continue by any means possible and this is a wonderful source to support that. To download the book click on the image below.
Thank you Nosy Crow for creating this for our children.
